SIT 71 David Surok - Breeze/Tornado
Released on Monday 1st July 2013.
This is the 71st release on Stories In Trance. We proudly present David Surok with the double A-Side Breeze / Tornado.
David Surok made an immediate impression with his first ever release Sunset / Sunrise (SIT #47) in November 2012. This was followed by his excellent remix of Alex Blest & Stonewave's Ethereal (SIT #49), his next original Never Let Me Go as featured on the Endeavour EP (SIT #51), his remix of French Skies The Wings Of A Dream (SIT #58) and his fourth original Avalon (SIT #62). David is back with Breeze / Tornado and it's more of the quality we have now come to expect from him. On offer here are two energetic and uplifting trancers with great lead melodies, excellent percussion and structure with subtle yet potent touches. Yet more fantastic productions from a very exciting new producer, and two fine further additions to his impressive catalogue of work.
The first of the two remixes comes from Konstantin Svilev with his version of Breeze. Konstantin made his debut for Stories In Trance on our Endeavour EP (SIT #51) with City and backed that up with his remixes of Four Points' Bridgestone (SIT #52), Lev Rubel's Share Your Moment (SIT #61) and a brilliant remix of Sakiva's Hammer (SIT #69). His first solo release was the old school Bonzai inspired Exit (SIT #56) which he followed with his second independent release The Jewel That Was Ours (SIT #70). He is at his best again with this energetic and ever progressing original. A great lead is backed with fantastic atmosphere, excellent mids and subtle yet unmistakable percussion which all add up to a wonderful remix. Be sure to check out more of Konstantin's work with us in 2013.
The second remix comes from upcoming Italian producer Frank Dattilo with his rework of Tornado. Francesco made his debut for Stories In Trance with his delightful remix of Colours (SIT #70) and if he continues to show the promise displayed so far he will go a long way. An energetic and powerful rethink of the original, using the lead expertly with defining mids, pads and effects, this is a big room trancer that really stands out. Look out for lots more to come from this rising newcomer.
Stories In Trance aims to uncover the most talented and imaginative new producers and team up with some of the more established names in the scene to work together in evolving the sound. This release sticks firmly to our philosophy of showcasing a diverse range of sounds within trance and we hope you'll enjoy the variety of imagination and creativity on offer in this release.

SIT 70 Konstantin Svilev - The Jewel That Was Ours/Colours
SIT 70 Konstantin Svilev - The Jewel That Was Ours/Colours
Released on Monday 24th June 2013.
Stories In Trance are delighted to present SIT 70 by Konstantin Svilev with the five track double A-sided single The Jewel That Was Ours / Colours.
Up first is the original mix of The Jewel That Was Ours. Konstantin made his debut for Stories In Trance on our Endeavour EP (SIT #51) with City and backed that up with his remixes of Four Points' Bridgestone (SIT #52), Lev Rubel's Share Your Moment (SIT #61) and Sakiva's Hammer (SIT #69) in addition to his first solo release - Exit (SIT #56). He is at his best again with this energetic and ever progressing original. A great lead is backed with fantastic atmosphere, excellent mids and subtle yet unmistakable percussion all combining beautifully into this wonderful track. Undoubtedly inspired by the Belgian trance sound of the late 90's and early 2000's, be sure to check out more of Konstantin's work with us in 2013.
Secondly we have the Triumvirate Recut. After the production debut with the rework of David Surok's Sunset (SIT #47) and first original production with the unforgettable The Persistence Of Memory (SIT #60), Triumvirate are back with this truly stunning rethink. Once again a bespoke and beautifully crafted track that illustrates all that is great about trance. Gripping from second one until the very end with an abundance of pace, power, energy, emotion and soul, this can stand up there with the best. A perfect addition to any set or mix and without a doubt a real stand out piece of work.
Next up we have David Surok's remix. David is building an impressive catalogue of tracks and remixes with us after his debut in the autumn of 2012. His excellent fourth original Avalon (SIT #62) was his most recent outing with us and he is back on remixing duties again in fine style. Expertly using parts of the original with his now trademark percussion and layering, combined with the always evident purpose and energy this is yet another indication of why we hold David in the regard we do at Stories In Trance. Another fine piece of work from a really exciting young producer.
Konstantin's second original on this double A-side is Colours. This track is an excellent combination of subtlety and energy. Potent atmospheric touches are expertly backed up with his now trademark percussive elements and the powerful and techy lead. When a producer of real talent can infuse all these elements as well as Konstantin demonstrates in Colours it surely adds up to yet another winning package.
The final part of this quintet comes in the shape of another debut on Stories In Trance, this time from upcoming Italian producer Frank Dattilo. To date, Frank has made appearances on Addicted2Bass and if he continues to show the promise he displays in this remix he will go a long way in the scene. A truly captivating take on the original, always involving and engaging, this is a production to be proud of. Look out for lots more to come from this rising newcomer.

Released on Monday 17th June 2013.
For our 69th release, Stories In Trance offer a special remix edition of our 63rd offering, and it's a stormer. Once again we give you Sakiva with Hammer (The Remixes).
Sakiva (Kirill Saltymakov) hails from Russia and his production career to date has seen him have previous outings on Andromeda Recordings but with Hammer he made a stunning debut on Stories In Trance. After such a positive response from its first outing we decided to offer it up to an additional select group of producers for their adaptations on the brilliant original.
This time we give you three remixes, the first coming from Russia's Konstantin Svilev. Konstantin made his debut for Stories In Trance on our Endeavour EP (SIT #51) with City and backed that up with his remixes of Four Points' Bridgestone (SIT #52) and Lev Rubel's Share Your Moment (SIT #61). He presented his first solo release, Exit (SIT #56) followed by his second original release The Jewel That Was Ours / Colours (SIT #67). He is at his best again with this energetic and ever progressing original. Up second we have Max Stealthy's version. Max has an extensive list of tracks and remixes with us, most recently his stunning remix of Apollo (Relaunched) (SIT #50) and his double A-Sided single Flyin Red / Time To Cry (SIT #67). Once again he serves up a truly brilliant track, expertly crafted with a great lead melody backed with fantastic effects and mids, Max's production technique continues to go from strength to strength. This is a must have for DJ's and trance fans alike.
The third remix comes from Russia with DJ Alexx Jam's version. DJ Alexx Jam (Aleksey Semko) gives us another excellent interpretation of Hammer; fine production techniques are backed with a deep, rich bass and the unmistakable lead melody is used to great effect with polished mids and kicks. With six great versions of this track over the two releases the seminal Hammer is fast becoming a modern classic. Don't miss out!

SIT 68 Airborne Angel - Star
SIT 68 Airborne Angel - Star
Stories In Trance present our 68th release and the ninth original from SIT hero Airborne Angel with the three track single Star.
Released on Monday 10th June 2013.
Airborne Angel (Sweden's finest, Gustaf Westin) has played a huge part in the development of Stories In Trance including a selection of massive originals and remixes, most recently with his Tense / Brute Force double A side (SIT #64) and he is back on his customary top form with this stunning track Star. It's hard to describe just how good Airborne Angel's productions are; amazing composition as always comprising of a fantastic lead melody and sublime structure, it's another track to savour. A must have track for 2013.
The first remix comes from Minsk's best, Sanglare (Vadim Zvegintsev and Aleksander Okholov). Sanglare made their Stories In Trance debut with Faith In The Future (SIT #43) in the Autumn of 2012 and backed that up with their first remix on SIT with Lev Rubel's Fairyland (SIT #53). They are back again with this energetic re-think on Gustaf's original. A harder, darker take, combining energy and power with the unmistakable lead leaves us with a banging addition to this epic release.
The second remix comes from Frenchman Jonathan Araldi under his French Skies alias. After his debut on Stories In Trance in the shape of The Wings Of A Dream (SIT #58) he then followed this with his first remix for us, delivering a fantastic reinterpretation of Triumvirate's epic The Persistence Of Memory (SIT#60) and his two remixes of David Surok's Avalon (SIT #62). This powerful track cuts straight to the chase. Featuring the subtly tweaked lead melody whilst expertly weaving additional aspects from the original into the mix, Jonathan creates a pure, energetic interpretation. This is a perfect illustration of what to expect from French Skies and why we are delighted to continue showcasing him on Stories In Trance.

SIT 66 spArk Featuring Kirsty Richardson - Moments
SIT 66 spArk Featuring Kirsty Richardson - Moments
Released on Monday 13th May 2013.
Stories In Trance proudly present SIT 66 and our very first vocal track. We give you spArk featuring Kirsty Richardson with the fantastic four track single Moments.
spArk has become a major contributor to Stories In Trance and made a fine debut with his original track Clouds Come (SIT #17) in January 2012. Proving that was no fluke he followed with his euphoric retake on Max Stealthy's Arrinera (SIT #25), setting the standard high for his second original My Freedom (SIT #37) which exceeded expectation. His most recent remix was an excellent version of White Motion's Come Inside (SIT #54) and then backed that up with the superb and diverse four track Lost In You EP (SIT #59). This time he gives us Moments, aided with the beautiful vocals of Kirsty Richardson this perfectly illustrates all spArk's undoubted talents. With elements of both his uplifting and progressive styles, this is pure magic, warm, delicate, beautiful, captivating and always enchanting - exactly what vocal trance should be. Without doubt a massive release for 2013.
The first remix comes from a duo who are no strangers to Stories In Trance, but once again return under their new alias - Cosmic Doors - though you might know them better as BB Sound/Alexander One & Davide Battista. Italians Alexander One (Petrone Carmelo) and Davide Battista (Gabriele Stefanini) have made several outstanding appearances for Stories In Trance, including brilliant reinterpretations of Max Stealthy's Arrinera (SIT #25), White Motion's Solis (SIT #28), Yaven's Zeal (SIT #38), French Skies' The Wings Of A Dream (SIT #58) and Lev Rubel's Share Your Moment (SIT #61) as well as their first original for us under their BB Sound alias with the seminal Oblique (SIT #33). Once again they are on top form adding their own flavour to the original and taking it down a more uplifting route while expertly using the vocals to great effect. Power, pace and energy are in abundance, a remix of the highest quality.
The second remix is from Cosmic Doors again but this time presented as the Alexander One & Davide Battista club remix. Focusing on more of the vocal elements of the track they take it down a more progressive route, with excellent flow and superb production techniques. With their two remixes here they cover all the bases, offering up everything that's great about vocal trance.
The final remix comes from Sweden's Ico (John Eriksson). With tracks and remixes so far on labels such as Diverted, D Max and Nile Tunes, his excellent work brought him to our attention last year so we were delighted to get him on board with his first remix for Stories In Trance, the superlative reinterpretation of Triumvirate's The Persistence Of Memory (SIT #60) and he has backed that up here with another stormer. Ico delivers an energetic, uplifting and emotional trancer with which he sublimely weaves the beautiful vocals into an all round uplifting powerhouse of a track. We feel Ico is certainly one of trance's best up and coming producers so keep a close eye on his future creations.
